Part 3:
Stress Reduction Ideas to Help Cure IBS
People are really on edge these days.
Between the demands of work, school, family and social obligations,
stress levels are higher than they’ve ever been. It’s
no wonder so many people suffer from IBS!
But just because your life is demanding
it does not mean you have to suffer in silence. Instead, adopting
some relaxation methods can help you cope with anxiety and
the stresses of life.
Music To Set Your Soul At Ease
There are many CDs available
these days that can help people cope with stress and find
a state of relaxation. Of course, listening to some heavy
metal won’t do the trick here! Rather, find music that
has a lulling effect on you and that makes you feel comfortable
and relaxed. Here are a few options to try:
-Classical
-Nature Sounds
-Music made for meditation
-Melodic chanting, like Gregorian chanting.
Meditation
Keeping a calm mind can be a
key role in controlling your IBS symptoms. Set aside between
15-20 minutes a day to meditate. It will take some practice
but once you get the hang of it, you should be able to relax
your mind and body.
You should begin by taking deep
and cleansing breaths, inhaling through the nose and exhaling
through the mouth. Next, concentrate on each part of your
body starting with the feet. Feel the tension release from
each of the muscles. Once you’re feeling good and relaxed,
take some time to focus on a single thought, mantra or image.
Doing so calms the mind from its internal chatter and helps
your body work to heal itself.
Yoga
Yoga is even recommended by traditional
doctors for its ability to relieve stress and tension in their
patients. You can also experience the benefits of yoga by
either purchasing a video or signing up for a class near you.
Yoga combines proper breathing (see section, Meditation) and
physical poses, in order to improve flexibility, posture and
overall health.
The great thing about yoga is
that while some of the poses may be out of your ability range,
you can still achieve the same sort of benefits as advanced
practitioners with regular sessions doing the simpler ones.
With a commitment to stress reduction
you can soon experience serious IBS relief.
I hope you’re enjoying
my free IBS mini-course. You still have one more day to go!
Tomorrow we’ll be discussing how your diet and nutrition
can be optimized to keep your IBS under control or even cure
it!
Thanks for reading and as always,
the Best of Luck if finding the best treatment for you.
Peace, Prosperity and Healing,

Vance Harvey
